Pebble Pathways – Inclusive Neurodivergent Support in Scotland
About Our Work Skills group
Work skills groups provide structured, support for neurodivergent teenagers, offering a safe and engaging space to explore practical and vocational development. Led by experienced professionals, these groups focus on building confidence, communication, and real-world skills in a supportive environment tailored to individual needs.
Sessions are activity-based and hands-on, encouraging young people to take part in tasks such as tool use, following routines, and completing projects that mirror workplace settings. This approach helps participants develop independence, understand responsibility and gain a sense of achievement.
Vocational exploration is central to the programme. Young people are encouraged to discover their interests and strengths through guided activities, which may include creative projects, teamwork, and problem-solving challenges. These experiences help build self-awareness and prepare participants for future opportunities.
Facilitated social interaction supports the development of positive relationships, communication strategies and emotional resilience. With the consistent guidance of trained practitioners, participants are gently supported to grow in confidence and feel more equipped for life beyond school.
