Pebble Pathways – Inclusive Neurodivergent Support in Scotland
About Our Independence group
Our professionally led Independent Living Skills group supports young people to build confidence and independence through hands-on, practical learning. Taking place outside of school, the group is carefully designed to help participants grow socially and emotionally while developing everyday life skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Each session focuses on areas such as home management, cooking and nutrition, planning routines, money skills and exploring personal interests. These activities encourage responsibility, improve organisation and help young people develop a sense of ownership and pride in their abilities.
Led by experienced practitioners, the sessions are structured to meet individual needs while also fostering peer connection and community belonging. The group nurtures emotional wellbeing, builds resilience and supports young people to develop essential skills that promote greater independence at home and in the wider world.
Families benefit too, with young people becoming more involved in daily routines and more confident in managing everyday tasks. The result is a more balanced and connected family life.
